Fall CSA Week 5 Five weeks in and still having fun! How are things cooking on y'alls end? We know that greens can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, but don't let that bring you down! CSA is a great learning experience - it really gets us out of our comfort zone and into a place where we can buckle down and try new things! You may have noticed things look a bit different. That’s because Foodshed Farms is now New South Produce Cooperative. Our products and farmers haven’t changed - all of our products are still Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown, and harvested right here in Arkansas. So why the change? Our business has grown! We began in 2014 with a handful of farms and a small CSA. But now in 2016 we’ve grown to nearly two dozen Arkansas farms, with over 450 CSA members across the state and dozens of restaurants, grocers, and community organizations carrying our products every week. Our new brand reflects this growth, and coincides with our official transition to a farmer-owned cooperative earlier this year. New South Cooperative represents our dedication to environmental stewardship through organic agriculture and our commitment to the growth of small family farms.
